LENT IN THE COMMUNITY AND OUR CHURCH
WEDNESDAYS IN LENT
March 3rd – The community worship service will be held at the Sanctuary of Southport (Church of God in back of INA oil on 133) The Reverend Deborah Vanderford of Oak Island United Methodist Church will be our speaker. A luncheon follows the brief service.
March 3rd at our church - Holden Evening Prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m.
March 4th at our church - Prayer and guided meditation at 7:00 p.m.
LENTEN SOUP SUPPERS
Lenten Soup Suppers start Wednesday, February 24th at 5:30 p.m. and end Wednesday, March 24th. We need 5 soup makers each Wednesday evening and 3 bread providers each Wednesday evening. The sign up sheet is in the Narthex.
Soup makers can make any kind of soup they wish in their largest soup pot or borrow a pot from the church kitchen. The soup and the bread need to be brought to church no later than 5:15 p.m. on the evening you signed up for soup or bread. If you have any questions please call Nancy Doelp at 278-9105. Thank you in advance for your help in preparing these Lenten meals.

Schedule
Services of Worship are held
8:30 AM and 11:00 AM
Each Service is a celebration of Christ's resurrection with sermons based on scripture. Members of the congregation are actively involved in the worship as readers, assistants, acolytes and crucifers. Our adult choir enhances the worship services.
Holy Communion is offered at each Sunday Service.
